Designer duo Kay + Stemmer have designed a new version of the Edith and Agnes shelves by producer SCP. Maude is a low storage unit with two shelves, in a longer version, ideal for horizontal wall spaces, or as a room divider. Available in oak or walnut, the structure is made of solid wood and the shelves are finished in veneered wood. No assembly is necessary - Maude is delivered fully assembled. This shelf has the characteristics of a classic shelf. The edges are rounded, and the shape is slightly conical towards the top and perfectly proportioned. The result is a low, visually soft shelf that retains the sleek and warm aesthetics of its material.
SCP was founded in 1985 by Sheridan Coakley and manufactures functional, aesthetic and durable designer furniture and accessories. The brand first exhibited at the Furniture Fair in Milan in 1986 and featured pieces by Matthew Hilton and Jasper Morrison. SCP then became a pioneer in the UK furniture industry. The brand has since collaborated with hugely talented designers including Konstantin Grcic and Tom Dixon. In particular, duo Kay + Stemmer has produced a series of storage and shelves such as the must-have Agnès and the Cedric desk.
