The AM Chair office chair, released by Vitra, is the combined result of engineering, quality design and experience. It combines ergonomic functionality and technical elegance. The dynamic armrests and height-adjustable backrest give the seat an iconic appearance, while the slim plastic frame covered with fabric or mesh underlines its lightness and elegance. At the same time, the AM Chair strictly meets the functional requirements and avoids superfluous structural elements. Designed by Alberto Meda, AM Chair is an economical tool for today's office needs. The perfectly moulded and pleasantly upholstered seat offers immediate comfort as soon as you sit down. Thanks to its many individual adjustment options, the AM Chair by Vitra is an ideal swivel chair for extended periods of sitting at a fixed location, but is also suitable for workplaces with frequent changes of users, due to the immediate feeling of comfort.

Alberto MEDA

Born in Como, Alberto Meda took his engineering degree at Milan's Politecnico and was recruited in 1973, at the age of 28, as Technical Director of Kartell, where he experimented with polyurethane. Six years later, he was flying under his own steam, working for Alfa Romeo, JC Decaux, Legrand, Luceplan, Vitra and Alias. His collaboration with the latter began in 1984 with the development of Light Light, a chair weighing just 1 kg made from carbon fibre and epoxy resin. He went on to create numerous collections of outdoor furniture. Alberto Meda works actively with Vitra, particularly on office chairs, concentrating on the essentials: simple shapes that combine optimum comfort with intelligent technology to make well-being at work a priority.
