Produced by Hay, Bernard explores the genre of the lounge armchair in a contemporary context. The combination of a solid wood frame and a visually-light coating creates a unique relationship between the two components. Bernard is a comfortable and durable chair with a distinct expression. The frame is made of solid oak or beech with different finishes, and the slipcover is available in leather or heavy-duty industrial marine canvas. The result is a chair that can satisfy all types of environments.

The company Hay reinterprets classic Nordic design forms in a modern setting, offering friendly, aesthetic, and functional designs. Hay draws inspiration from three main sources: art, architecture, and fashion, while paying particular attention to the surrounding environment and contemporary culture. The goal of Hay is to revive Danish design furniture from the 1950s and 60s. The Hay chairs perfectly embody this spirit: a timeless and minimalist design that combines comfort and functionality with modern lines.
