Designed by the designer trio Lievore, Altherr and Molina for Arper, Catifa 46 is a chair that combines comfort and clean lines. Designed for contract and domestic spaces, it suits all projects, thanks to a wide range of finishes, colours and materials. The shell, both flexible and resistant, is available in single-colour or two-colour polypropylene, in wood, covered with fabric or leather, with or without padding. The base is also available in several versions: four legs in steel or wood, sled base, sledge base, four- or five-star central leg, with or without castors. The sled and four-legged versions are stackable for easy storage when used on a large scale. The Catifa 46 is also available as a bar stool.
Lievore Altherr Molina was founded by Alberto Lievore, Jeannette Altherr and Manel Molina in Barcelona in 1991. The studio specialises in product design, art direction and furniture, but is also at the heart of interior architecture and packaging projects. The three designers are united by a desire to design beautiful, pure forms, always with functionality in mind. Their internationally acclaimed work won Spain's National Design Award in 1999. They work with a wide range of companies including Andreu World, Arper, Emmebi, Forscarini, Poltrona Frau and Tacchini. They also continue to teach in parallel and give courses at Spanish universities. The Catifa and Leaf collections are among the largest and most popular with the public.
