Description
Testament du modernisme d’après-guerre, le Langelinie Pavilion est un lieu emblématique à Copenhague, construit dans les années 50. Le couple d’architecte Eva et Niels Koppel a créé des modules d’acier et de verre qui s’alignent avec l’horizon, permettant la vue sur le front de mer et la promenade. Pour créer une chaise empilable pour ce bâtiment historique, les designers Anderssen & Voll ont voulu marier le modernisme classique de cette construction des années 50 avec une nouvelle forme de modernisme. Quel que soit l’angle selon lequel on la regarde, la chaise Pavilion est dotée d’une silhouette légère et gracieuse. Les minces accoudoirs et pieds dégagent une sensation aérienne, et s’accordent avec le dossier et l’assise aux courbes douces. Editée par And Tradition, la chaise Pavilion est disponible dans cette version associant noyer laqué à un piètement chromé, et une assise revêtue de tissu Vidar.

ANDERSSEN & VOLL
Founded in 2009 by Torbjørn Anderssen and Espen Voll, Anderssen & Voll is a Norwegian design studio based in Oslo. The duo, who were previously partners in the Norway Says group, work in a variety of design fields but concentrate on domestic objects. They have been named Norwegian and Scandinavian Designer of the Year and have received international awards for their work with furniture, lighting and home accessories. In their view, a good product builds on and extends tradition while simultaneously breaking with the rules of that tradition. Their iconic creations include the Outline seating series, the Oslo lounge chair, the Elephant table and the unique Ildhane candlestick. Their many collaborations with famous publishers such as Lapalma, Muuto, Hay and AndTraditon have contributed to their reputation.
