La chaise empilable Rely HW65 éditée par And Tradition a des origines écologiques. Pour sa conception, le designer Hee Welling a consacré un an à la quête du matériau idéal. L'apparence simple de la chaise et son design ergonomique incarnent la fusion entre minimalisme et praticité.
La coque moderne de Rely HW65 est entièrement fabriquée à partir de plastique recyclé. Cette dernière est disponible dans une gamme de couleurs contemporaines. Le processus de recyclage inventif mis en place par le designer consiste à récupérer les déchets post industriels. Une fois broyés en petits morceaux, ils sont mélangés avec de la nouvelle couleur du siège et préparés pour un moulage par injection.
Le développement durable est placé au cœur de la conception de la chaise empilable Rely HW65. Si elle est amenée à être réparée, le designer a simplifié son démontage pour prolonger sa durée de vie.
Chacune des courbes de Rely HW65 a été développée pour fournir un soutien optimal du dos. Welling insiste sur l'importance des détails pour un résultat équilibré et harmonieux.

Hee Welling was born in 1974, studied at the University of Art and Design in Helsinki and holds a master's degree in furniture design from the Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts. He set up his studio in Copenhagen in 2003 and now works in the fields of furniture, interiors, lighting and industrial design. The studio works with leading national and international manufacturers. Its products have been exhibited at fairs and museums around the world. Hee has won numerous awards, including the BoBedre design prize (Denmark) and the Good Design Award (USA). He also features in the list of the most popular designers. Hee Welling products have been used in a variety of interiors around the world, including the Oslo Opera House, the Australian Parliament, Amazon headquarters, Danish national television, the Astrup Fearnley Museum, Beats by Dre headquarters and the Danish Parliament. In addition to his own studio, he is also a partner in the Welling / Ludvik design studio, alongside Icelandic designer Gudmundur Ludvik. The collaboration began in 2010, and since then the duo have created industrial design furniture for a number of national and international brands. Hee Welling's creations are inspired by the tradition of Scandinavian design, expressed in simple, functional and refined lines. Form, function and respect for the environment are all important in his work. In 2004, the Danish brand HAY produced the Hee series, which includes a chair, an armchair and a stool, as well as the famous AAC chair - About A Chair - in 2010.
