Inspired by the minimalist movement, the Dan table combines Minotti's expertise with Christophe Delcourt's creativity, taking the circle as its starting point. Like an artist, the designer has deconstructed the form to investigate its expressive possibilities. Rounded and concave legs connected by a crosspiece define the base and enhance the overall design of the table. The contrasting finishes of the legs create an interesting play of light, illuminating the area underneath the tabletop – a space usually in the shade. The tabletop edge echoes the tones of the structure with a subtle variation in materials: wood replaces aluminium and sets the precious Calacatta marble top, black glass lacquered on the back, dove-grey, matt-ebony or liquorice-coloured smoked ash. Dan is available with a round top in a choice of three diameters or a rectangular top with rounded corners in three different sizes.
