Created by Rodolfo Dordoni for Cassina, the Acute bed features a combination of different materials, ingeniously used to create a sophisticated and complete system, able to furnish the entire bedroom. The headboard is made of ash with a walnut or moka tint. The upper and lower levels are made of solid wood and the leather or fabric cushions are height adjustable via a leather strap. They create a comfortable back support. The fabric option can also be fitted with a purifying theBreath® layer, a patented technical fabric that captures and breaks down polluting particles without needing an energy source. The size of the solid wood bed frame varies to fit different mattress sizes. The model shown here is fitted with two large drawers and two bedside tables/shelves with a revolving drawer. The bench must be ordered separately.
The Acute bed offers many customisation options (shelves, trinket dishes, electrical outlets, lighting) and can be combined with a bench or a coffee table.

Rodolfo Dordoni is a major figure in Italian design. After graduating in architecture from the Milan Polytechnic in 1979, he set up Dordoni Architects Studio and went on to work with major furniture brands such as Foscarini, Cappellini and Artemide, where he was artistic director, as well as Flos, Moroso, Cassina and, more recently, Coédition. He has also worked closely with Minotti since 1997. Its timeless, modern designs combine aesthetics and comfort. The lines are sober, minimalist and extremely distinctive. The roots of the collaboration between Minotti and Rodolfo Dordoni are long-standing and solid, because the same values are shared by the company and the designer. The designer's inspirations and thoughts come to life, and particular attention is paid to the details, finishes and materials that reveal the unique character of Minotti collections.
