Dessinées par Hella Jongerius pour Vitra, les patères Coat Dots sont de petites boules en bois colorées qui se fixent au mur, créant des accents joyeux dans les cuisines et les salles de bains, ainsi que dans les espaces d‘entrée et les vestiaires. Les Coat Dots peuvent créer d‘attrayantes sculptures murales ou être utilisée en tant que patères. Chaque boule est montée sur une tige en aluminium extensible pouvant être tirée légèrement hors du mur et former un crochet pratique pour manteaux, vestes ou cintres.

Born in 1963 in de Meern, Holland, Hella Jongerius studied design at the Design Academy Eindhoven. She then attracted international attention through her collaboration with the Dutch design label Droog Design. Initially a student, she went on to teach for a year at the Design Academy Eindhoven, where she headed the Living/Atelier department from 2000 to 2004. At the same time, she set up her design studio "JongeriusLab" in Rotterdam to manufacture and market many of her creations herself, particularly tableware, vases, textiles and furniture. His work often straddles the line between design and craft, art and technology. Hella Jongerius also works with a wide range of brands, from suspension lamps for Belux (Blossom Flower) to decorative furniture for Vitra with the Bovist poufs, as well as producing plates for the prestigious Nymphenburg manufactory. Alongside Jasper Morrison and Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec, Hella Jongerius is the designer of a large part of the Vitra Home collection, which continues to grow. His creations have been the subject of numerous exhibitions around the world (MoMA in New York, Galerie Kreo in Paris, etc.).
