Kastehelmi est une collection de coupes, photophores et services de table dessinée par Oiva Toikka en 1964 et rééditée par Iittala. Kastehelmi rappellent les petites gouttelettes de la rosée du matin. Le créateur s'inspire de la nature et des paysages finlandais pour créer cette collection dont les bulles d'air qui éclatent dans le verre sont volontairement devenues le motif central de décoration. La surface met en évidence la texture du verre, à travers ces bulles obtenues par la technique du verre pressé. Un motif original pour ces coupelles et autres objets de présentation de cette collection comme le plateau à gâteaux ou les photophores où les bulles de verre réfléchissent la lumière des bougies pour diffuser une atmosphère poétique dans votre intérieur.
