The Planner collection of coffee tables, created in 1953 by Paul McCobb, an iconic figure of mid-20th-century American design, is now being reissued by the Fritz Hansen brand. McCobb's very direct approach, which combines aesthetics and function in a few essential elements, is in perfect harmony with the Danish design tradition. Available in three shapes, Planner has a marble top that rests on an elegant steel base that is extremely sturdy despite its light appearance. The steel legs are tapered at the base – a distinctive feature of all McCobb's designs. Simple yet sophisticated, ethereal yet sturdy, Planner coffee tables will find a home in any style of interior.
