Following the success of the Visioni carpets, Rotazioni, designed by Patricia Urquiola, plays on the repetition of overlapping cylindrical shapes, emphasising the circle as the matrix of design. A palette of pastel colours and chromatic contrasts adds gradation to the cylindrical shapes, creating a three-dimensional effect. All this enhances the volume and dynamic composition of the design, creating unique carpets that make a statement wherever they are located. Rotazioni wool carpets are made entirely by hand in Nepal.
Born in Oviedo in 1961, Patricia Urquiola attended the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the Polytechnic School of Milan, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni as her thesis supervisor. She was his assistant at the Polytechnic School of Milan from 1990 to 1992. From 1990 to 1996, she worked in the product development department for De Padova, where she collaborated with Vico Magistretti. In 1996, she became head of design at Lissoni Associati. In 2001, Patricia Urquiola opened her own design studio, where she works on design, installations and architecture. In 2005, together with her colleague Eliana Gerotto, Patricia Urquiola developed a collection of lighting for Foscarini. Their Caboche pendant, ceiling, floor and table lamps reinterpret the 1960s plastic bracelet-style crystal chandelier with pendants. After several European boutiques, she has just designed the interior architecture of the sublime Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona. Patricia Urquiola designs both outdoor furniture, with the Pavo real armchair, and accessories for Alessi.

CC-TAPIS
CC-Tapis is an Italian company that manufactures hand-woven contemporary rugs created in Nepal by Tibetan master craftsmen. In 2011, CC-Tapis moved to Milan, where the company is now based. Its artistic director and partner, Daniele Lora, leads a team of designers there that innovate through a new approach to traditional methods. Weighty respect for the materials and culture of the ancestral profession is reflected in CC-Tapis’s environmentally-friendly approach at every stage of production, from spinning the softest Himalayan wool to using purified rainwater. Patricia Urquiola designed the "Visioni" collection for CC-Tapis: a 2-piece series featuring geometric shapes and soft colours.
