With its four-legged base and thin laminated top, the Still Café table has a simple and sleek profile that gives it a timeless and sophisticated look. Designed by the Iskos Berlin studio for Muuto, the Still Café table adds a touch of Scandinavian style to all types of spaces: kitchens, cafés, restaurants, bars and offices. Available in round or rectangular versions, this table is distinguished by its design that gets back to basics and its obvious function.
Founded in 2010, Iskos-Berlin is the result of a long-standing partnership between Boris Berlin and Aleksej Iskos. The studio's work lies at the crossroads of industrial design, furniture and graphic design. Over the years, their fruitful collaboration has enabled them to develop and share the same design philosophy. "We see design as the art of storytelling. This history is normally relatively complex, made up of semantics, morphology, materiality, the technology that makes up the objects and other elements. But the clearer your story, the more likely people are to understand it. And the more surprising your story, the more likely they are to remember it. And finally, the more you make people smile, the more likely they are to like it," they explain. "We seek to explore with new technologies and materials and understand the impact on everyday objects." The work of the duo Boris Berlin and Aleksej Iskos, who respectively graduated from the Institute of Applied Art and Design in St Petersburg in 1975 and the Institute of Industrial Design in Denmark in 1996, is exhibited in numerous museums around the world, including the MoMa and the Danish Design Museum. Their many collaborations with Normann Copenhagen, Hay and Muuto are testament to the scale of their success. Their iconic designs include the Fiber, Just Chair and Soft Edge seating ranges.
