La collection Menhir est créée en 1983 par Lodovico Acerbis et Giotto Stoppino pour la marque italienne Acerbis. Dans sa conception, la collection reprend les principes fondamentaux de l’art sculptural, tout en proposant une approche audacieuse quant au choix et au travail des matériaux utilisés. Menhir présente un assortiment de couleurs et de textures mettant en lumière la simplicité sculpturale dont les designers Acerbis et Stoppino font preuve dans leur quête de graphisme et l’élaboration de nouvelles formes pour leurs designs. La collection Menhir renvoie sans aucun doute au classicisme grec et aux célèbres monolithes français et britanniques en érigeant une colonne matte – en marbre dans la version d’origine, qui relie l’imposante base en marbre, dite « Rocchio », à son élégant plateau en bois laqué ; ce choix de matériaux provoque un contraste assez saisissant de couleurs et d’éléments, mais aussi un certain effet de stabilité. Les tables basses Menhir A et Menhir B+E, ainsi que la console Menhir A+E sont des pièces de décorations idéales pour apporter caractère et sophistication aux intérieurs de réception.
