Dessinée par Superstudio entre 1969 et 1972 et produite par Zanotta à partir de 1972, la collection Quaderna est reconnue comme un manifeste du design radical. En 1969, le groupe Superstudio travaille sur les « Istogrammi » : des objets construits sur la base d'un maillage spatial au motif orthogonal, adaptable à différentes échelles. La théorie des Istogrammi a conduit à la théorie d'un monde infini d'objets à inventer, allant de la pure surface plane au meuble en passant par l'architecture. Tufté à la main, le tapis Quaderna se compose d'une surface 100% en laine de Nouvelle-Zélande. Le support inférieur est en toile 100% coton, fixé avec une colle latex 100% naturelle. La bordure du tapis est réalisée à la main avec du fil de laine sur les six côtés.
