Tolomeo Mega Terra is the large-sized version of a series of lights created by Michele de Lucchi and Giancarlo Fassina for Artemide. This floor lamp has a polished aluminium articulated arm structure. A spring balancing system enables articulation of the arm. When fully unfolded, the Tolomeo Mega Terra lamp is 334cm tall and can be folded at right angles to distribute light at 148cm from the floor. Made of parchment paper, the diffuser can be rotated in all directions to give off direct and diffused light. The dimmer switch provides the option to create different lighting moods. Tolomeo Mega is also available with a silk satin diffuser, as well as in black. This floor lamp provides a soft atmosphere suitable for tables, desks, and living rooms.

In 1959, Ernesto Gismondi combined Engineering and Design and founded Artemide. His motto "The Human Light" represents humans and their well-being, and he centres his attention on both these things when designing lighting solutions. The Artemide brand rapidly became the leader in lighting design and manufacturing. As soon as it was set up, Artemide manufacturing was involved in international groups such as "Memphis" by Ettore Sotsass, a pioneer in the manufacture of contemporary lighting. Artemide entered into further collaborations and the successes mounted up. The brand represents the expertise and quality of Italian design, resulting in timeless creations that leave deep impressions and stand the test of time.
