Editée par Louis Poulsen, la collection de luminaires VL Studio est dérivée d’un modèle de lampe conçu par l’architecte Vilhelm Lauritzen pour Radiohuset, l’ancienne Maison de la radio de Copenhague, dans les années 1940. Le nom « Studio » a été choisi parce que certaines de ces lampes faisaient office d’indicateur pour les sessions d’enregistrement, avec une lampe rouge et une verte montées à l’extérieur du studio. Lancée en 2022, VL Studio reprend les matériaux et le style de la lampe d’origine. Elle est composée d’un diffuseur en verre opalisé à trois couches qui permet une bonne répartition de la lumière, et d’une base en aluminium noir ou en laiton brossé. La lampe VL Studio apporte une touche de modernité et de chaleur à tous les types d’intérieurs grâce à son esthétique simple et à ses matériaux d’excellente qualité.

LOUIS POULSEN

Danish brand Louis Poulsen was founded in 1874, originating from traditional Scandinavian design where form follows function. Louis Poulsen became the owner of the company in 1906 after the death of his uncle, Ludvig R. Poulsen. Louis Poulsen’s approach to architectural development began when he collaborated with one of the world’s leading lighting designers, Poul Henningsen. In 1924, the designer began collaborating with Louis Poulsen lighting; their objective was to take part in the "International Exhibition of Modern Decorative and Industrial Arts". In 1925 the collaboration proved successful and the Poul Henningsen lamps won the gold medal.
