Big Bang: an astonishing suspension lamp marked by irregular and seemingly fortuitous intersections of planes in space that create volume around the light source and define the dynamic character of this lamp. Like an "explosion", the sheets made of methacrylate seem to move away from the central luminous core and reflect in all directions. Characterised by a play of light and shadow and a strong visual impact, this suspension lamp by Foscarini is ideal to personalise the atmosphere of a room. It provides an intense, energetic and direct light. The design duo Enrico Franzolini and Vicente Garcia Jimenez played with the particular arrangement of the planes to guarantee maximum reflection and at the same time avoid glare. A subtle piece that fits into the living room, hallway or entrance hall.
Foscarini was founded in 1981 in Venice. Foscarini has been producing lighting and exploring the possibilities and qualities of Murano glass since 1981, most of its design have gone on to become classics. For Foscarini, each project requires a new supplier in order to best meet the customer's requirements. Freedom of production advocated by Foscarini inspired two of the company's designers, Carlo Urbinatti and Alessancro Vecchiato, to use other materials. This strategy results in a wealth of inspirations, raw materials and technological innovations.
