Blom is a small table lamp designed by Norwegian designer Andreas Engesvik. Its shape is inspired by a flower, as its name indicates, short for "blomst", which means flower in Norwegian. Published by Fontana Arte, Blom is a small, light and playful lamp. It is easy to adjust and move, adapting to your desires. The two screens surrounding the diffuser swivel to vary the light as required. The metal base ensures the lamp is stable. Once lit, the polycarbonate petals maintain a temperature that allows them to rotate without burning your fingers! It can be placed either on a side table in the living room or on a bedside table in the bedroom.
Luigi Fontana was founded in Milan in 1881 and specialised in the production of glass panels for the construction industry.
In 1931, the FontanaArte brand was born and achieved instant success, with the 0024 pendant light by Gio Ponti, who was artistic director of FontanaArte at the time. The Bilia table lamp followed with its timeless design thanks to the perfect balance of its dimensions and the understated elegance of the non-reflective materials used. FontanaArte installed a new oven - the only one in Italy - designed to produce glass panels of all curvatures, in order to inject new momentum into the production of prestigious furnishings.
