Kastehelmi is a collection of goblets, candleholders and tableware designed by Oiva Toikka in 1964 and reissued by Iittala. Kastehelmi recall the tiny droplets of morning dew. The designer was inspired by the nature and landscapes of Finland in creating this collection, in which air bubbles bursting in the glass have deliberately been made the key decorative motif. The surface highlights the texture of the glass, with its bubbles obtained using a pressed-glass technique. An original design for these water glass bowls that bring a touch of elegance to the table.
