Conçue en 1947, la chaise C-Chair est l'une des pièces les plus connues de Marcel Gascoin. Rééditée par Gubi, la chaise représente non seulement la puissance esthétique et pratique des créations de Gascoin, mais aussi la conscience sociale dont il a fait preuve tout au long de l'après-guerre en France. La C-Chair a été créée à l'origine par nécessité pour s'adapter aux nouvelles dimensions des maisons construites à la fin de la Seconde Guerre mondiale, où Gascoin a comblé le manque d'espace en créant des meubles simples et fonctionnels. Intelligemment conçue avec beaucoup d'attention aux détails, la C-Chair possède une forme élégante tout en étant robuste et enracinée dans un langage de design simple, minimal et fort. Caractérisée par des pieds volumineux et vigoureux associés à une assise accueillante dans un matériau plus léger, la qualité de la C-Chair éditée par Gubi se révèle à travers ses lignes modernes, sa sobriété et une finition en bois de qualité.
