Published by Menu, the Duca candleholder takes its name from the Latin “to extend”, and that's exactly what it does: by loosening the screw on the structure, the height of the candleholder can be adjusted as the candle burns. The Duca candleholder is also distinguished by its elegant polished or burnished brass finish and rattan detailing that gives a warm feeling. Working with a blacksmith, the Danish design studio Krøyer-Sætter-Lassen discovered a simple mechanism used to change the height of certain objects. It is this detail that becomes a key element of the Duca candleholder and allows the user to change the height as desired, for example to create dynamic compositions of several elements on a festive table.
