The distinguishing feature of the Galerie light, designed by Federico Peri, is the diffuser, which is inspired both aesthetically and functionally by the ancient oil lamps of the Belle Epoque. Hand-blown in four layers of glass, with outer and inner layers in two different colours, the glass is white when turned off, and amber when the lamp is lit. The diffuser is equipped with a leather strap so that it can hang in different positions on the structure. In the standard version, Galerie is available in two models: with a diffuser, ideal for reading, and a model with three diffusers positioned at different heights, for adjustable ambient lighting. The Galerie by Fontana Arte collection is also available as a table lamp. The unique combination of materials (glass, leather, metal and marble), never before seen in a light, adds particular air of luxury to the Galerie family which remains elegant and balanced. Galerie evokes times gone by in a contemporary way.

FONTANA ARTE
Luigi Fontana was founded in Milan in 1881 and specialised in the production of glass panels for the construction industry.
In 1931, the FontanaArte brand was born and achieved instant success, with the 0024 pendant light by Gio Ponti, who was artistic director of FontanaArte at the time. The Bilia table lamp followed with its timeless design thanks to the perfect balance of its dimensions and the understated elegance of the non-reflective materials used. FontanaArte installed a new oven - the only one in Italy - designed to produce glass panels of all curvatures, in order to inject new momentum into the production of prestigious furnishings.
