With Icha, Massproductions offers a graceful collection where Asian and Scandinavian traditions meet. The series takes its name from the Japanese restaurant in Stockholm for which the stool was originally created. The Icha stool adapts to any environment, thanks to its elegant lines and the different existing finishes. Stools, chairs, desks, tables... Massproductions furniture has a slender and resistant structure that suits both domestic and collective spaces.
Massproductions is a result of the work of designers Chris Martin and Magnus Elebäck who, after spending ten years as consultants, decided to launch their own manufacturing company. They are driven by the desire to create a designer furniture brand that focuses on the interaction between the object and the context. Massproductions draws on the functional elegance of modernism to create a versatile and highly adaptable collection. "Mass production is our goal, hence our name. As such, we use industrial processes and create accessible furniture with a twist. Although we have chosen not to use artisanal methods, our ambition is to achieve the same emotional response evoked by handmade furniture." says Martin.
