À l’origine, la lampe à poser Putki a été conçue pour la réouverture du Nationalmuseum de Suède à Stockholm. Le collectif de concepteurs de la lampe Putki – dont Matti Klenell – comprenait Iittala, qui édite le luminaire jusqu’aujourd’hui. L'abat-jour en verre de la lampe Putki, soufflé à la bouche à la verrerie d'Iittala en Finlande, repose sur une base en acier peint par poudrage dans une couleur terre cuite.  Mise à l’échelle pour le lancement d’une nouvelle collection, la lampe Putki d'Iittala offre le design sophistiqué d’une lanterne en verre striée, et la douceur d’une lumière douce et tamisée qui s’adapte à tous les intérieurs.
