Editée par Gubi, Unbound est une collection de luminaires à la fois éthérée et fonctionnelle, une version épurée de la lanterne en papier japonaise traditionnelle qui bouscule les conventions avec son asymétrie ludique. Unbound est le résultat de la volonté du studio de design Space Copenhagen de créer une lampe pratique mais poétique, avec un caractère sculptural, mais sans être imposante. En prenant pour point de départ la lanterne de bateau, Space Copenhagen a entrepris de simplifier la typologie à son expression la plus pure. La base en marbre joue le rôle d’une ancre, incarnant l’immobilité et le poids. Elle contraste avec l’abat-jour en textile, qui semble flotter au-dessus de la base. Pivotant à 360°, l’abat-jour peut être parfaitement aligné au pied en marbre ou totalement décentré, créant une asymétrie sculpturale. Conçue pour créer une ambiance douce et zen, la lampe Unbound Gubi pivote aisément de façon presque poétique. Les LEDs sur toute la hauteur de la lampe et le textile qui constitue l’abat-jour diffusent une lumière chaleureuse et diffuse dans tous types d’espaces. Unbound est disponible en version lampe de table et en lampadaire, décliné en deux hauteurs.

SPACE COPENHAGEN
Space Copenhagen is a Danish multidisciplinary design studio founded in 2005 by Bindslev Henriksen and Peter Bundgaard Rützou. They work at the crossroads of disciplines, from furniture and lighting to art installations, interior design for private homes, hotels and restaurants around the world, and art direction. Their ambition is to blaze new trails by balancing opposites: classic and modern, industrial and organic, light and shade, duality and contrast. They call their approach Poetic Modernism. The principles of functionality, slow design and the study of human behaviour guide their work. The result is quality and longevity. Their various collaborations with Fredericia, AndTradition, Gubi and Mater demonstrate their ability to break with codes and constantly renew themselves. The Swoon armchair is one of their iconic creations. The use of soft colours and natural materials such as wood, stone, leather and brass develop a patina over time and lend a certain charm to objects.

GUBI
Danish brand Gubi reissues some of the greatest design classics created since 1967. Situated on Copenhagen docks, Gubi’s head office spans over 2000m2 in a former tobacco factory renovated into a large, modern exhibition loft space. Gubi is a designer renowned for creating, developing and marketing a bold and sleek collection of furniture, lighting and interior objects around the world. Iconic pieces evoke emotion and tell meaningful stories that make them both timeless and long-lasting. Gubi views itself as a treasure hunter who considers curiosity, courage, and intuition as the keys to success.
