Designed by the Dechem studio for Bomma, the Phenomena collection was inspired by simple shapes: circle, triangle, rectangle and oval. The term 'phenomenon' comes from the Greek word meaning 'appearance'. The shape is the first thing you notice. In Plato's idealistic philosophy, phenomena are transitory, not quite real. This idea perfectly describes the lighting collection, which is made from a material that is both complex and versatile, both solid and fragile. The glass part of the diffuser is made of blown crystal, so the intensity of colour and hue may vary slightly.Bomma has developed a sophisticated system of metal fittings for this collection of interior lamps, allowing easy and secure assembly. On its own or in a composition of several lights, Phenomena will make a statement in interiors of all styles thanks to its simple shapes, refined materials and elegant details.
Founded in 2012, Bomma infuses the traditional Czech glass industry with a new dynamic. With centuries of glasswork tradition behind it, the Czech Republic is blessed by the richness of its talents and high-level skills. Rather than simply maintaining these traditions, Bomma goes further and sets new standards for glass manufacturing. Bomma’s master craftsmen are supported by a large team and a state-of-the-art production facility. With unique production methods developed by the brand itself, Bomma has worked with many designers on an increasing number of projects and collaborations.
