Raviolo is a stunning piece by Ron Arad for Magis. The designer's inimitable and unmistakable style can found in this armchair, which acts as both a piece of furniture and a sculpture.The lines are playful and dominated by curves, giving this chair an ethereal and extremely graphic look. Raviolo is made of rotomoulded plastic, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and has an opening that lightens the structure. One-piece polyethylene resembles soft ribbons of fabric, with sinuous curves and exceptionally fluid lines. Here, the material is used unconventionally by the creator, playing on the effects of perspective, mixing solids and voids depending on the viewer's viewpoint. Raviolo provides unrivalled comfort thanks to its generous and welcoming shapes that hug the body. Original, playful and available in bright colours, Raviolo is the perfect armchair for your terrace or dining room.

Ron ARAD

Born in 1951 in Tel Aviv, Israel, Ron Arad studied at the Academy of Fine Arts in Jerusalem and then at the Architectural Association in London. In 1981, he founded his own studio "One Off Ltd." in London with Caroline Thorman, and began producing his unconventional furniture by hand, most of it in welded sheet steel, with a strong sculptural character. In 1989, together with Alison Brooks, a Canadian architect, he founded the firm Ron Arad Associates Ltd. In 1994, he founded the Ron Arad Studio in Como and was visiting professor of product design at the Technical University of Vienna until 1997. Since then, he has taught industrial design and furniture design at the Royal College of Art in London. Ron Arad's work is part of the permanent collection of many museums, from the MoMa in New York to the Centre Georges Pompidou in Paris and the Victoria & Albert Museum in London. Ron Arad works with leading brands such as Vitra, Magis, Kartell and Alessi, and his best-known creations include the Victoria & Albert collection for Moroso and the DO-LO-REZ rugs for Nanimarquina, with their astonishing optical effect.

MAGIS

In 1976, Italian brand Magis began working on innovative projects from a technological and creative point of view. Magis is considered a true "design laboratory" thanks to its in-depth experiments. The brand has collaborated with some of the best-known names in design, such as Ron Arad, Konstantin Grcic and the infamous Chair One, as well as the Bouroullec brothers. The "Magis Style" creates an impression, whether in the form of small office accessories or outdoor furniture. In 2000, Jasper Morrison achieved a technological feat with his "Air Chair", the world's first single-hull, air-moulded chair. Magis considers itself a creative think tank for quality design.
