Née de la collaboration entre le designer et forgeron Sebastien Summa et la marque DCW Editions, BL12 est une suspension sculpturale, pensée pour éclairer une grande table de salle-à-manger. Astucieusement appareillée façon trompe l’œil, cette suspension est composée de douze tubes en verre borosilicate dont un seul, fonctionnant telle une centrale, est source de lumière, les autres tubes relayant par réfraction et prisme sa diffusion. Aucun fil, aucune LED ou aucune structure en aluminium n’est visible. NL 12 évoque ainsi un faisceau céleste à la fois radical et poétique.  Pour parfaire l’esthétique de la suspension NL12, Sebastian Summa a imaginé, afin de la suspendre au plafond, une paire de potences semblables à des agrès de gymnastique, et calculées pour équilibrer parfaitement le faisceau de tubes. Cet accastillage fixe ajoute à l’ensemble une touche athlétique post-industrielle, et signe un tour de force évidemment artisanal.
