Dessinée par l’architecte et designer danois Illum Wikkelsø en 1962, la collection Croissant est une version élégante et ludique des traditionnels canapés et fauteuils Chesterfield. Pour Wikkelsø, un fauteuil ne doit pas uniquement servir à s’assoir droit, mais doit aussi être confortable quel que soit la position adoptée. Ainsi, il revisite ces pièces classiques pour un public plus détendu qui émerge dans l’optimisme des années 60. Avec sa forme caractéristique et gourmande de viennoiserie, le canapé Croissant se démarque avec un certain sens de l’humour dans tous les intérieurs. Il apporte sa personnalité à lui tout seul de votre salon, mais peut aussi très bien être associé à d’autres meubles au caractère fort. Gubi réédite cette magnifique pièce et rend hommage au design original, en respectant sa présence sculpturale et théâtrale, ses courbes organiques et une fabrication artisanale.
