Dessiné par Patricia Urquiola pour Cassina, Sengu Bold est un canapé modulable conçu avec des formes ouvertes et généreuses, pour favoriser la convivialité.
Le canapé Sengu Bold se démarque par ses compositions différentes et jamais conventionnelles, toutes unies par des matériaux et des couleurs naturels, et obtenues en combinant des modules de différentes tailles – centraux, d'angle et d'extrémité, avec ou sans accoudoirs – permettant également d'insérer dormeuse et pouf, pour une détente extrême. Pour assurer bien-être et durabilité, le rembourrage des coussins posés contre le dossier est composé d'une fibre soufflée de PET recyclé, développé grâce à l'étude réalisée par Cassina LAB, une collaboration entre le Centre de Recherche et Développement Cassina et le Poli.design du Politecnico di Milano.
Doté d’un caractère audacieux et percutant Sengu Bold réécrit le confort absolu avec des volumes accueillants et des finitions de grande qualité.

Born in Oviedo in 1961, Patricia Urquiola attended the Faculty of Architecture at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and the Polytechnic School of Milan, where she graduated in 1989 with Achille Castiglioni as her thesis supervisor. She was his assistant at the Polytechnic School of Milan from 1990 to 1992. From 1990 to 1996, she worked in the product development department for De Padova, where she collaborated with Vico Magistretti. In 1996, she became head of design at Lissoni Associati. In 2001, Patricia Urquiola opened her own design studio, where she works on design, installations and architecture. In 2005, together with her colleague Eliana Gerotto, Patricia Urquiola developed a collection of lighting for Foscarini. Their Caboche pendant, ceiling, floor and table lamps reinterpret the 1960s plastic bracelet-style crystal chandelier with pendants. After several European boutiques, she has just designed the interior architecture of the sublime Mandarin Oriental in Barcelona. Patricia Urquiola designs both outdoor furniture, with the Pavo real armchair, and accessories for Alessi.

CASSINA
Founded by Cesare and Umberto Cassina in Meda, near Milan, in 1927, Cassina produces designer chairs, tables, armchairs, sofas, beds, wardrobes and shelves. Cassina produces high-quality furniture inspired by industrial Italian design.
Cassina was one of the first designer furniture companies to encourage architects and designers, such as Le Corbusier, to design new lines and translate their inspirations into reality, in the midst of a rich and complex era. Cassina has worked to convince designers and architects to explore new ways of expressing forms and working with materials, in order to make their visions reality and create unique designer furniture.
