Contemporary yet distinctive, Connery is a seating system whose aesthetic and formal quality is immediately apparent with pure lines and an architectural charm reminiscent of Mid-Century Modern American style. A skilful blend of materials and elegant finishes add an 'haute couture' feel to this project by Rodolfo Dordoni for Minotti.
A highly versatile base system, a level of composition that's equal to the choice and combination of materials, Connery demonstrates a unique personality. The geometrical nature of the base creates an original contrast with the soft seat, as well as the structure of the back and armrests. The back forms a single volume with the armrest featuring by a 45° slot in the corner. The upholstered structural base, as well as the fabric covers, can be adorned with in leather strips fabricated using a luggage making technique This concept of high-end leather goods is also found in the headrests and in the elegant "C" Flap shelves which are harmoniously integrated into the seating elements offering great dynamism when it comes to arrangements. On the front, thin, glossy, brandy-coloured metal plates lift the structural base off of the ground. In addition to enhancing the sofa's beauty by evoking the metallic parts of suitcases and trunks, they also confer a feeling of lightness.
Carefully structured and customisable, the Connery range by Minotti also includes, deeper chaise longues and elements with circular lines that can be combined with the sofa such as islands.
