Développé à l’origine pour l’hôtel Aulanko en 1935, le lampadaire 9602 est une des créations les plus célèbres de Paavo Tynell. Gubi réédite ce lampadaire en 2018, également connu sous le nom de "chapeau chinois".  Le charme du lampadaire vient de son abat-jour élégant et sa tige recouverte de rotin. Le lampadaire 9602 représente l'imagination de Paavo Tynell et son ingéniosité à créer une beauté durable. La forme ludique de l'abat-jour combinée à la forme plus statique de la base procure une lumière douce pour un salon. Pour cette version du lampadaire 9602, les lattes de bambou sont cousues ensemble pour former une surface plissée, qui est ensuite cousue à la main sur une doublure en lin, et fixée sur une structure en fil de fer. Ce procédé permet à l’abat-jour de créer un motif lumineux lorsque la lumière passe à travers les lattes de bambou, apportant une ambiance chaleureuse dans la pièce.
