With the Platform tray, Sam Hetch and Kim Colin wanted to design a product that integrates functionality on different levels. This accessory produced by Muuto marries Scandinavian design with Japanese craftsmanship, forming a stackable tray suitable for a variety of uses. Produced by Muuto, it can be used as a tray to carry objects from one room to another or a small raised storage area on which to display accessories on a desk or table. Both a small table and a small tray, the Platform tray creates space and will fit in anywhere.
Founded in 2006 by Peter Bonnen and Kristian Byrge, Muuto is a young design manufacturing company that affirms its ambition to perpetuate the Golden Age of Scandinavian design by encouraging continuous innovation and creativity. Muuto develops Scandinavian design tradition and infuses them with new perspectives, by giving free rein to the latest generation of designers such as Norway Says, Louise Campbell, and Thomas Bentzen. Muuto produces designer furniture such as the must-have Around coffee tables, the Split dining table, the Fiber and Nerd chairs, armchairs and stools, and the Stacked modular storage unit.
