Renowned designers Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec successfully combined wood and steel in pieces with a strong personality yet surprisingly light and harmonious look in the Steelwood collection. The Bouroullec brothers proclaim their vision of design that is both soft and revolutionary, as they like to "repeat familiar shapes". Produced by Magis, Steelwood coat rack is made up of three solid beechwood pillars connected by epoxy resin-coated sheet steel deliberately left visible. The classic shape of the coat hanger combined with modern manufacturing techniques create an original accessory that adapts to all interiors, whether in your hallway or bedroom.
Born in 1971 and 1976 in Quimper, France, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec pursued their studies at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the École nationale supérieure d’arts in Cergy-Pontoise, respectively. In 1999, the brothers teamed up to establish a design studio in Paris.
