Designed by Hvidt & Mølgaard, Tripod is a minimalist standing lamp, made of lacquered metal with brass details. Considered masters of Danish design in the 1950s, their creations often add a sculptural touch to the space where they are positioned. The Tripod lamp is no exception. Named after the style of the base, the light has simple, precise lines in keeping with the aesthetic of its designers. The base has a heavy sphere that acts as a counterweight and maintains the lamp's balance. The first sketches of the Tripod lamp date back to 1953, yet the lamp never found the way into production. So, & Tradition was the first company to release this unique, timeless light.
&Tradition is a Danish brand founded in 2010. The brand sells furniture, lighting and accessories from the 1930s to present day. &Tradition designs practical pieces for everyday use.

Innovation is at the heart of Danish brand &Tradition's creation process. The group of designers seeks to bridge the gap between industrial processes and traditional trades. Whether to reshape, reinvent, or redefine contemporary design, &Tradition shares the following vision: The future lies in creating products that are destined to last.
