Description

Cette création du designer Richard Sapper est la toute première bouilloire produite chez Alessi en 1983. La bouilloire 9091 est réalisée en acier inoxydable 18/10, adaptée à toutes les sources de chaleur, et possède un sifflet mélodique en laiton et une poignée en polyamide. L'élément central de cette création est le sifflet dans les cannes duquel ont été placés deux choristes en mi et en si qui, au moment de la sortie de la vapeur, produit une mélodie courte et agréable tel un son de flûte. Richard Sapper voulait éviter l'habituel son angoissant que produisaient les bouilloires disponibles alors sur le marché. En suivant cette démarche poétique, il a créé ce qui est probablement le premier accessoire de cuisine multi sensoriel.

ALESSI

In 1921, Giovanni Alessi founded the Italian company Alessi. Since 1929, the company has focussed on producing nickel- or silver-plated copper tableware. When Carlo Alessi, Giovanni's son, was appointed design director in 1935, handcrafting methods were replaced by industrial manufacturing. In 1955, the company began collaborating with world-renowned architects and designers such as Richard Sapper, Ettore Sottsass, and later, Philippe Starck and Marcel Wanders. Alessi makes design accessible by focussing on useful, humorous and visually appealing home accessories. Most of its products have become design classics that are sold and exhibited around the world.
