The Side Table family has grown with a new moulded plywood version: the Wooden Side Table. These small, elegant side tables belong to the category of furniture that does not form the basis of the furniture but is nevertheless indispensable as a complement to it. Easily movable and multifunctional, they are small, discreet side pieces that perform all kinds of valuable services. Thanks to their balanced proportions and the seductive formal contrast between the slim table tops and the voluminous plinth-shaped legs, these occasional tables suit the most diverse environments. Produced by Vitra, Wooden Side Table is available in three sizes.

Ronan & Erwan BOUROULLEC

Born in 1971 and 1976 in Quimper, France, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec pursued their studies at the École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs in Paris and the École nationale supérieure d’arts in Cergy-Pontoise, respectively. In 1999, the brothers teamed up to establish a design studio in Paris. Their work spans the creation of home accessories and objects (vases, tableware, jewelry…), furniture for the home and office, as well as architectural projects that involve spatial planning and design. Among their standout creations, the "l'Algue" for Vitra, is a modular design that, when assembled, forms an asymmetrical and poetic room divider. Alongside designers like Jasper Morrison and Hella Jongerius, Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec play a key role in the growing Vitra Home Collection. In recent years, they have also collaborated with brands like Alessi, Kartell and Nanimarquina designing pieces such as the Losanges rugs. Ronan et Erwan Bouroullec have earned numerous accolades, including Designer of the Year at Maison et Objet Now! in 2011, the Grand Prix du Design from the City of Paris in 1998, the New Designer Award at the International Contemporary Furniture Fair in New York in 1999, and the Finn-Juhl Prize in Copenhagen in 2008. Their works are housed in prestigious museums, including the MoMA and the Centre Pompidou. Through their collaborations with brands like Vitra, Hay annd Flos, Ronan et Erwan Bouroullec have become icons of 21st-century design.

Vitra grew in 1981 and launched a number of subsidiaries around the world. Vitra’s mission is to develop healthy, intelligent and sustainable solutions for communities and housing. Vitra’s technical know-how is combined with the creativity of renowned designers such as Alexander Girard, Charles & Ray Eames who designed some the greatest classics of the 20th century, Verner Panton, and the Bouroullec brothers.
